Thank you to
Emma-Leigh MacDonald for putting together the August
e-Newsletter. Thank you to Mikayla Clow for putting together another
great ACYL promotional video.
ACYL’s next
seminar will be held at Camp Breton Dean in Cape Breton on
September 17-20th, one really cool thing that’s different this
time around is there will be the largest amount of Creative
Directors ever at once! Just goes to show you how much this camp
encourages leadership, self awareness, and a bond that sticks
with you through the years.
ACYL not only helps make new
friends, it sets up a network of people who want to do good by
Co-Op. You will learn, and want to continue learning. Here are some
things you may discover, and participate in.
I challenge all supporters of ACYL to join the Eat Atlantic
Challenge – for the Environment, the Economy, the Future! Friday,
September 4.

Hey Youth! Yah I’m talking to you, have you ever
thought about being on a committee, or a board? Why not! It’s a
great opportunity for you to expand your horizons, meet new people,
and have a say in what’s happening in your community. Keep your eyes
open and ask your Credit Unions and other Co-ops if there is
something out there for you!
Did you know anyone can start a co-op? It’s
true! All there has to be is a need for something, and a group of people willing
to do it. Whether you’re young or old you can have a voice. Do you need
somewhere to hang out and chill because your community doesn’t have anything?
Why not start something and be young leaders and role models for others in your
community.
Did you know you can look on Facebook, You Tube, and Twitter to find out about
ACYL! Well start your search, go on you know you would love to be a part of
this.
I think that everyone needs to
do a little soul searching, whether you’re in middle school, entering high
school, going on to university, or working. We need to sit back and not only
think about what we want in life, but what we want today and tomorrow. We are
the future. We are the ones who get to decide what will be happening, what
will be changing, and how we want our world to be. We need to start investing
some time and effort into us. We need more programs, more confidence, and more
reality. We need to start making the difference now. Let us be us, and who
knows what can happen. Create a plan, think ahead, but live your life for what
you believe in, and have no regrets.
The average iron man consists of a 2.4 mile (3.86
km) swim, a 112 mile (180.25 km) run, and a 26.2 mile (42.2km) run. Iron man
events have a history of attracting remarkable stories of determination and
perseverance. This video is truly inspirational and speaks for its self.
This is something that everyone
can feel, and appreciate. Dance is a wonderful tool that a talented few have.
Why not express yourself?
Ah, just listen to that! :) Just
listen to the simple things in life.
